Premier Racing Has One Focus at Road America SRO

Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin | August 18, 2022 | Premier Racing is deep into championship contention for both the one-driver, sprint race format of the SRO GT America Powered by AWS and the two-driver, 60-minute format of the Pirelli GT4 America entering Road America. Just don’t ask anyone on the team to talk about it. The Kent Moore-managed operation will just point to the four races on the schedule at the Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin track scheduled for August 19 – 20. Focusing on the 4.048-mile, 14-turn track known as “America’s National Park of Speed”, drivers Adam Adelson (Las Vegas, Nevada) and Elliott Skeer (San Diego, California) have only one intention behind the wheel of the No. 120 Premier Racing Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport: winning.

To date, the driving combination of Adelson and Skeer has shown its ability to do just that. The duo has won twice in GT4 America (both rounds at NOLA Motorsports Park) and Adelson has a stand-alone victory in GT America at VIRginia International Raceway. Road America offers a prime opportunity to continue adding wins to the total.

In both series this weekend, the Las Vegas, Nevada-based team uses the same Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport adding significantly to the workload of the tightknit group at Premier. Prepping the car between sessions and races is a challenge that must be well managed with down to the second detail to allow Adelson and Skeer to extract every ounce of the car’s formidable potential. Despite the challenge, it has proven successful to the team strategy as the added time brings in more data and experience for the drivers. Without exception this season, when the mid-engine, 500 hp Porsche has been successful in one series it has also been in the other.

Adam Adelson, No. 120 Premier Racing Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport |
“With only three SRO race weekends left on our 2022 schedule, it's hard not to think about the championship and how close we are in the points. However, it's way more important to focus on what got us here, and how we can draw on all that we have learned this season to put up our best performances possible. Road America is a track that always produces incredible racing, especially with the power of the slipstream on all the long straights. As always, the competition is going to be tough, but I'm confident that as a team, we will remain a force to be reckoned with out on the track."

Elliott Skeer, No. 120 Premier Racing Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport |
“This race marks the year anniversary of us competing in SprintX together. I’m so incredibly proud of what this team has become in that time. As much fun as it is to reflect back, we have a big fight ahead of us this week at one of the most incredible tracks anywhere in the world. We are going in with the goal of executing our plans each session and keeping our heads down. The best results come when the focus stays internal and in front of us.”

Kent Moore, No. 120 Premier Racing Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport |
“Entering the final leg of the championships, I am really happy with where we are. I am not talking about in the points, we don’t talk about points. I mean with the team itself. We left Nashville in a very good place as a team, really working well together. We will be back in the [Porsche 718 Cayman GT4] RS Clubsport at Road America and I think the car will be a perfect match for the track. Both Adam and Elliott love the RS and the track. I am really looking forward to these final few events in GT4 and GT America.”
