Darkhorse Autosport Formed by Darkhorse Communications

MONROE, Ga., Monday, December 10, 2001 Thomas Moore, president and founder of Darkhorse Communications, announced today the formation of Darkhorse Autosport. The new enterprise, to be based in Monroe, Georgia, will widen the scope of the services that Darkhorse Communications has provided since 1997. Among the new disciplines that Darkhorse Autosport will focus on will be driver and team marketing as well as driver management. Darkhorse Autosport will begin day-to-day operations as of January 1, 2002. However, startup and organizational work has been underway since October. Darkhorse Communications, a leading provider of motorsports media relations services, will now operate under the Darkhorse Autosport banner. “We have been tremendously successful in setting a new standard of professionalism and success in motorsports media relations since our inception,” commented Moore at the announcement. “In fact, we became so successful at managing the media and public relations needs of our clients that nearly every one of them approached us about handling other aspects of their program. They knew that they could trust Darkhorse and knew our work ethic. They wanted to have that same Darkhorse treatment for other areas of their profession that they enjoy for media relations. We at Darkhorse listened to what they were saying and felt the time was at hand to make the step into these other arenas.” “Because of the increase in the services that we will be offering, we felt that a new company was needed to focus on these tasks without drawing resources away from Darkhorse Communications,” Moore explained on the reasons behind the creation of a new firm. “We chose the name, Darkhorse Autosport, to reflect the broader range of services that we will now provide to the auto racing industry.”Moore will continue as the president and CEO overseeing both companies. The motorsports veteran will also continue as the account executive and project manager for each of Darkhorse's clients.Darkhorse Autosport represents clients throughout the motorsports world.
